Argus Gargoyle Statue Large

Argus Gargoyle decorative garden statue. Gargoyles were typically featured as grotesque creatures created to spout rain water away from hitting the sides of buildings, which would cause the mortar to erode in medieval architectural history. In the history of he church gargoyles were thought to ward off evil and should they be in the shape of a dog, as is this statue they were seen as faithful, loyal and intelligent, making them excellent guardians. Our Large Argus is approximately 24" high, 28" wing span and 11"x10" oval footprint. Weighs about 150 lbs. This one comes in any of our drycast colors Limestone, Cream, Tan, Terra Cotta and Pewter.
